Kanopy provides streaming videos of thousands of documentaries and theatrical releases.

Effective November, 2020, Lovejoy Library has transitioned to a mediated access model for Kanopy.

The library will only be leasing films for course use. We will also lease films for graduate students and faculty research purposes if no DVD is available. We will not lease films for recreational or general viewing.

All currently licensed films will be available for instant viewing. If you are presented with a request form, we do not have a current license in place. Fill out the request form with the course name and number for which the title will be used.

Please make your request at least 3 working days before you need the film. If the request is made after hours or on the weekend, it will be handled on the next working day.

If this is a title you anticipate needing for more than 1 year, please let us know so that we can consider purchasing a longer-term license or a hard copy of the film

Once the title is available, you will be emailed a direct link to the film. The film will also become available in Kanopy through a title search.
