ILLiad Explained

ILLiad is an interlibrary loan system that we use for requests outside the state of Illinois systems, like I-Share.

ILLiad is an interlibrary loan (ILL) system that connects multiple ILL services together to make it easier for ILL departments in libraries to fulfill patron requests. The ILL services that SIUE utilizes to fulfill your requests are:

OCLC WorldShare - a service for interlibrary loan that connects libraries with holdings in the WorldCat catalog

RapidILL - a service for interliibrary loan that connects pods of libraries together for reciprocal lending and borrowing of materials through automated request fulfillment with a 24 hour turnaround time.

Docline- a service for interlibrary loan connecting NNLM member libraries using Docline together to fulfill medical and health sciences profession literature requests

I-Share Explained

I-Share is an interlibrary loan system used for sharing resources in the state of Illinois, or for those materials not available in the state of Illinois systems.

The I-Share integrated library system is an online public catalog for 88 CARLI (College and Academic Research Libraries in Ilinois - a library consortium in IL) member libraries. I-Share provides participating libraries patron's  with access to interlibrary loan of materials from the participating member libraries.
