Teaching Resources

As the subject librarian for the Department of Nursing, I can:

  • Work with you to develop assignments that require scholarly or non-scholarly sources and determine which resources best fit the objectives of the assignment
  • Create a course page with discipline-specific resources tailored to your class assignments (see the Class Guides tab above for an example)
  • Embed resources into your course site
  • Visit your class or reserve the library's classrooms to help students find and use information sources
  • Help you identify open educational resources or order materials to support your courses.

Research Resources

  • Resources for Authors
Information on authors' copyrights from the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC).
  • RefWorks
RefWorks is an online research management, writing, and collaboration tool designed to help researchers easily gather, manage, store and share all types of information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies.
  • SIUE Institutional Repository (SPARK)
Find information on the SIU Open Access Policy, author rights, and depositing material into the repository.
  • Open Educational Resources (OER)
Learn more about using and locating OERs for your courses.
  • Your Research Impact
Determine your impact as an author and learn how to broaden it.
