Most of our library resources can be accessed through the Lovejoy Library website. You can:
Lovejoy Library uses an Interlibrary Loan system called ILLiad to get you books, articles, and other resources that are not available on campus or from other libraries in Illinois. You can access ILLiad from the library website and place requests for books, articles, dissertations, theses and more, or you can access ILLiad through a database to request a specific article.
ILLiad should be used for requests if we do not have the item available in I-Share or in a database. Please check first before requesting.
Logging in to ILLiad
Access ILLiad through the library website or bookmark the ILLiad login page.
The log in for ILLiad will be the same as your SIUE eID and password. The first time you log in, you will need to complete the ILLiad registration page so we know how and where to deliver items to you.
On the registration page, be sure to select yes for the option "Preferred Electronic Delivery if Possible." This will allow us to provide you electronic copies of articles.
Getting your items
After you have requested an item and received and email that it is ready, you can either pick it up at the library (physical items) or download it through the ILLiad site (electronic articles).
For more questions, see the ILLiad FAQ page.
