Maintaining the Daily Hold Shelf

Login to Alma

Login to Alma using the following link:

https://i-share-sie.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/CAS

Use your e-ID and password for campus to login to Alma:

At login you will be prompted to select a location.

Use the drop-down arrow to choose the correct circulation desk - Lovejoy Library, - click "select"

You can view hold shelf items of varying status’s in 3 ways:

  1. Fulfillment --> Under “Resource Requests”: Active Hold Shelf
  2. Fulfillment --> Under “Resource Requests”: Expired Hold Shelf
  3. Fulfillment --> Under “Resource Requests”: Monitor Requests and Item Processes

Fulfillment --> Under “Resource Requests”: Active Hold Shelf

Active Hold Shelf Items will be viewable like this:

In the upper-right of each Active Hold Shelf items are actions that can be performed:

Cancel Request, Update Expiry – if the hold as expired while on the hold shelf

Clicking the “…" elipses provides the following options:

Fulfillment --> Under “Resource Requests”: Expired Hold Shelf

The Expired Hold Shelf allows you to quickly move items that have expired off the hold shelf to various locations:

Tabs include:

Reshelve

Send to Circulation Desk

Send to Library

Activate Next

Send to Institution

You can select one item or multiple items in each tab to move according to your needs.

This is a list comprised of all I-Share requests, local requests, as well as other Departmental Requests – like Acquisitions and Workflow Process Steps.

Use the facets on the left-hand side to filter your results to only those relevant for the Hold Shelf:

In the Workflow Step facet, use the On Hold Shelf facet to narrow down your results:
